Due to the recent health concerns in our area, out of a concern for our community and volunteers, Helping Hands will be closed until further notice. If you have donations to drop off you are more than welcome to leave them on the porch. The church office is still open, so please don’t hesitate to call with any questions. Thank you for your understanding.
“How is it that many who profess and call themselves Christians
do so little for the Savior Who’s name they bear?
~ J.C. Ryle
Welcome to Cornerstone’s Clothing Closet called “Helping Hands Ministry!” It is our privilege to be used by God to provide clothing to our neighbors in need!
- When are you open to shop?
We are open the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.
- What hours are you open?
We’re open for shoppers from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
- When can I drop off donations?
Our office is open to receive donations Monday through Friday, 8AM-4PM.
- What do I need to bring for my first visit?
All you need to have with you is your driver’s license or WA ID card. You can come as a first-time shopper any time our site is open.
- What will my first visit look like?
When you come to our Helping Hands center one of our volunteers will fill out some brief paperwork with you. The volunteer will spend some time with you to understand your needs and how we can best serve you. Then you will be able to shop for whatever you need that day.
- How often can I shop?
You are welcome shop whenever our site is open, which is twice a month.
- How much can I shop for?
In order to best serve all of our families we provide 2-3 shopping bags of clothes per person in the home, per month.
- Can I shop for other people?
We ask that you shop for yourself and the members of your immediate family only. However, please feel free to talk to our staff if you know of someone else in your life with a significant need.
Helping Hands seeks to show the love of Christ by helping our community in practical ways.
We are primarily a clothing bank, though as non-perishable food donations come in, we offer those to folks as well. As donations allow, we try to provide clothing, shoes, coats, bedding, hygiene items, and non-perishable food items.
If you have needs beyond what we can give or presently have available, please tell us, so we can either direct you to helpful resources or be on the look-out for what you need.
Please avail yourself of our Snohomish County Resource List if you face shelter or housing difficulties; need help finding food for your family/are unable to provide sufficient meals; need Suicide Prevention or help for other emergencies; or if someone you know is facing crises in any of these areas, and you are at a loss as to how to help.
We never require attendance to our church in order for you to avail yourself of this clothing ministry, but we would love to have you attend and learn more about God and His message to you, and to be in community with other believers who will help you to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Also, free Biblical Counseling is offered at the church if you are dealing with tough situations or relationships. You are welcome to take a Counseling Brochure and call our office.
